Slither.io is a popular online multiplayer snake game where you control a small snake on a big arena full of shiny balls and dozens of opponents. Eat the glowing orbs on the map to grow as long and as big as possible.

How to Play Slither.io 

Your objective is to live, grow your snake and reach the top of the leaderboard. You control your small snake around the arena and have to eat and collect glowing spheres littered throughout the arena at the start of every match. Collect each orb to grow your snake bigger and more powerful.

There are also around 50 snake species in the arena that players control worldwide. Your opponent is a different size and moves. You have to keep your snake’s head from touching the body of another snake. Otherwise, your snake will die instantly and explode into hundreds of glowing orbs for other players to grab.

But if another snake attacks your body, they will be exterminated and you can collect a big amount of priceless orbs.

Move in to catch smaller snakes, defend your turf and challenge the biggest players on the server. Stay alive longer to score more and get closer to the top of the leaderboard.

Tips to play Slither.io 

Here are some suggestions to help you survive longer and conquer the leaderboards.

Don’t Over-Boost

Save speed for crises or for special possibilities. Constant boosting is a waste of precious mass.

View Bigger Snakes

Large snakes battle one another. Stay close but not too close. If you are removed, you will have a chance to get a lot of glowing orbs.

Stay Cool in Close Encounters

If you have multiple snakes fighting over the same pile of orbs, don't do anything dumb or sudden. Keep your distance, wait for a chance, and only move in when you are sure you can get away safely afterwards.

Be Patient

Many players lose because they are greedy. You don't need to pick up every orb or follow every snake you come across. Sometimes the best way to reach the top of the scoreboard is to avoid controversy and continue to progress gently.
