Ball Breaker

Ball Breaker is an arcade shooter with a bit of a survival feel to it. You are an over-powered cannon at the bottom of the screen shooting up at balls with numbers on them coming down. The goal is to destroy as many balls as possible, without collision. Each ball is marked with a number indicating its remaining health points, so the "tougher" balls require more shots to break.

How To Play Ball Breaker

The cannon will fire at the falling balls automatically; all you have to do is move the gun left and right. Slide sideways to get under targets, and more crucially to avoid the balls and junk falling on you.

Your goal is to get all of the balls in a level cleared without anything colliding with your cannon. If a ball (or even just a single piece) hits the cannon, the game is over. You always have to balance striking targets with having to look out for impending threats.

During the game, balls will be falling down all the time from above. Larger balls may need many bullets, and will shatter into smaller pieces when destroyed. These pieces present more hazards you have to avoid when attacking other targets. As you move throughout the stages and are challenged on your reflexes and decision-making skills, you will face tougher enemies and more difficult scenarios.

High number balls take a few hits to be destroyed, while low number balls are destroyed rapidly.

Tips to play Ball Breaker

Keep Moving, but Move With a Purpose

Standing motionless too long makes your cannon an easy target, but moving around continuously without paying attention might be just as risky. Watch the path of the ball coming in and move into safe spots, not just run as fast as you can.

Focus on High-Threat Targets

Not all balls are made equal. Big balls and high number targets can hang around on screen for a long period and pose big hazards. Always have an escape path, yet focus your fire on risky targets as needed.

Watch for Splitting Balls

Large balls can shatter into many smaller chunks when destroyed. Never believe that by taking down a big target, you have eliminated the threat. The smaller parts are scattered over the arena so be prepared to react instantly.

Keep an Escape Route Open

Don’t get your cannon stuck on one side of the screen when there’s a lot of balls coming in. If you can feel open space around you, you have more options if you need to get out of the way quickly.

Earn Rewards with Confidence

Coins and awards can be used to upgrade your cannon, but survival should always be the priority. Collect awards only when the area around you is clear enough to do so securely.

Hard Parts Before Upgrade

Use your earned goodies between rounds to upgrade your gun. Higher equipment means you can destroy hard targets faster and have a higher chance of surviving in later levels.

Improve Your Reaction Time

Ball Breaker is a game of mostly reflexes. The more you play, the better you will be at spotting patterns of movement and reacting before an incoming ball hits your cannon. You can't wait until the last second to move. Pay attention to the direction and speed of items.
